What is Studio Milledisegni?
I created Studio Milledisegni as an online home where I could bring together and share my art/design work. At the moment Studio Milledisegni has what I would describe as two "rooms"—one basically comprises the original heart of the design work I have been doing for years: creating paper goods. Each order will continue to be individually handled by me, but my designs will now be professionally printed, finished and shipped by a printing company in the US.
The other "room" is essentially an offshoot: studioMdesigns. I create designs, and then a print-on-demand company handles each step of the ordering process (from accepting orders to production and shipping). I am very excited to be able to offer my designs on all sorts of items I have never been able to make myself: zippered studio pouches, hardbound and spiral notebooks, cell phone/iPad cases clocks—even clothing & bedding (just to name a handful of the many products).

Where do you ship?
Studio Milledisegni paper goods (cards, invitations, prints, decorative papers, calendars) ship anywhere within the US.
International shipping is also possible; please see below for more details.

StudioMdesigns (textiles, tech items & certain paper goods) are available to ship just about everywhere as the print-on-demand company's production centers are located throughout the world. Please visit this page for more information on studioMdesigns.
How much does shipping cost & how long does it take?
If your order will be shipping within the contiguous US there is a flat fee of US$7.70 for UPS ground. From the time you place a non-custom order (or from when you have approved the proof for a custom one), your package should arrive within 8-9 business days (sometimes faster). The foil card designs are the one exception; they generally take a few extra days to prepare. You will receive a tracking number so you can keep tabs on the delivery.
Expedited service is also possible; please contact me with your request and I will get you a quote.
Shipping to addresses outside the contiguous US generally begins at about US$50; this does not include potential customs fees. Please get in touch with details about the items you are interested in and I will give you a quote.
Occasionally I list digital files that you can then print yourself or ask a local printer print for you. You will generally receive these within 24 hours of placing your order (a bit longer if customization is involved).
What kinds of papers are cards, invitations & prints printed on?
If you are anything like me, the perfect paper can make you a little weak in the knees!
You will find a choice of papers for many listings. Typical ones are 130 lb Ultra, pearlescent Shimmer or luxurious Double-thick Cardstock for flat cards; Extra Heavyweight Matte for foil cards; Heavyweight Uncoated Cardstock for folded cards; Shimmer Cardstock for photographic prints; and Heavyweight Uncoated Cardstock for typographic prints. (Please note that all papers/cardstock options are acid-free.)
In most cases, other options are also possible; among them are Kraft, Cotton, Linen and Felt (which has a texture similar to charcoal paper). Please describe what you have in mind, and I would be happy to make a suggestion/offer more details.
What about custom requests?
I am a big fan of having choices! Once you have clicked the "add to cart" button you will be taken to a form with additional options and/or a field where you can make special requests. If you prefer, it's also possible to send customization preferences via the contact form or email; please use this address: email@example.com
And of course you are always welcome to get in touch about creating a design to fit your needs before placing an order. In most cases there is no additional fee, i.e. if it's merely a question of tweaking an existing design, and I will be happy to give you a quote if the customization process is more involved.

How does the ordering process work in the case of a customized design?
Once I have received your order (as well as all of the basic information via the order customization form and/or an email from you), I will email you a digital proof within 24 hours. If your card design includes custom photo(s) they should be emailed to me (firstname.lastname@example.org); please find the question/answer regarding file requirements at the end of this page. You are always welcome to send any additional information/comments/questions via email as well.
Proofs (digital or hard copy) can help you to better envision the final design/avoid unexpected issues. The Studio Milledisegni service includes up to three digital proofs at no additional cost. After you have approved a digital proof I will send the custom design file to my US-based professional printer. Including shipping time, the typical turnaround from your approval is eight business days (counting Monday to Friday/if your order is shipping to an address in the contiguous US).
Hard copy proofs are also possible; please see the next question/answer for details.
What about hard copy proofs?
Please keep in mind that there are always going to be variations in how monitors display colors; if an exact color match is essential, or you would like to verify another detail that is impossible to fully appreciate onscreen, I suggest a hard copy proof. The first hard copy proof is free of charge and will typically arrive within three to five business days from when the initial design details have been approved by you. (An expedited delivery in one to three business days is possible for $40.00.) Subsequent hard copy proofs are $15.00.
Hard copy proofs are possible only once you have placed an order, but you will receive a full refund if you do not wish to go through with the order after assessing the proof(s).
Do you offer discounts?
Discounts are incorporated into the card listings when you order larger quantities. If you would like a quantity greater than 100, please contact me for an even better per-card rate.
You will receive a discount when you purchase more than one Typography Print or Shimmer Print. Please use the code SAVETEN at checkout if you have added at least two Typography Prints or two Shimmer Prints (or one of each), to your cart.
